The newly developed ACUDA rubber sheets of the FD3 series (more speed glue effect than the Formula DONIC ones, a bit softer feeling) are improved versions of the Baracuda rubber sheet.
Acuda S1 Turbo
The Acuda S1 Turbo is the latest development of the extremely successful Acuda rubber sheet series. When testing the rubber in combination with the new Bloodwood 5 or the Burn Aratox which are both classified in the All+/Off- category, a very interesting alternative.
The Acuda S1 Turbo was developed using the latest technology and it’s got even enhanced playing characteristics regarding speed, spin and higher arc.
The modified, matt surface of the Acuda S1 Turbo in combination with the large-pored, middle-hard sponge, guarantees in fact outstanding playing characteristics.
The outstanding feeling when hitting the ball and the higher arc are unique and already noticeable and visible after having done a few rallies.
For attacking players who attach great importance to spin, speed and the length of the ball – both at the table and from half-distance – and with a good feeling the optimum solution.
Acuda S1
The ACUDA S1 is in fact a rubber sheet with maximum spin and great catapult effect having a sponge hardness of 47,5°. It’s slightly harder than Acuda S1 Turbo.
Due to the large-pored sponge and the enlarged and even pimple heads of the top sheet, this rubber sheet implies a very good feeling with an outstanding bounce of the ball. The improved grip allows a longer ball contact and therefore enables you to achieve a higher arc of the ball.
Especially for offensive players – in particular when playing top spin, both close to the table and from half-distance – the ACUDA S1 offers a super feeling due to the improved speed glue effect and is especially recommended on the forehand for an aggressive spin game.
Acuda S2
The ACUDA S2 has in principle the same playing characteristics as the S1, however, due to the softer sponge (42,5°) – it is particularly enjoyable to play with because of its precise feel.
Especially for players who prefer on backhand a controlled block or spin game near the table, we recommend the ACUDA S2. Combined with a fast offensive blade such as Persson Power Carbon or Burn OFF it is also perfectly suited for the forehand side.
Acuda S3
The ACUDA S3 is the softest version of this rubber sheet series with a sponge hardness of 37,5°. The ACUDA S3 is recommended for players who prefer good control as well as maximum feeling and a unique sound. Considering the whole ACUDA series, this rubber sheet is the best option for all players who mainly act on backhand with powerful spin and a positive block game or prefer a softer spin game.

Meanwhile one season has passed since the ITTF have banned frictionless long pimples. But many players are still looking for the right solution.
Regarding this subject DONIC has two specialists in the team: Fabian Akerström, bronze medallist at the Youth World Championships 2006, and probably best player in the world with long pimples playing close to the table, Swedish National Team player and participant at the European Championsips 2009 in Stuttgart. Traction MS Pro und MS Soft

The Traction rubber sheets made in China and which have undergone a so called “factory tuning” (special foil on the backside of the rubber sheet) are the absolute top rubbers.
Compared to former Chinese rubber sheets (sticky surface, hard sponge) these rubber sheets of the latest generation have been adjusted to European requirements.
Medium hard, pink coloured sponge of the MS Pro and yellow, soft sponge of the MS Soft combined with a grippy top sheet gives the rubber a sensational spin and extremely good control.
In combination with a faster blade – as the test with the Burn Carbotox or Bloodwood 7 showed – the rubber sheets unfold their full potential regarding maximum spin with super control and good speed whereas the Traction MS Pro is more suitable for the forehand and the MS Soft for backhand side.
